The job opportunity

This is a hiring roundDisguised as a Contest

House of EdTech and Be10x are hiring video editors. Rather than read a thousand CVs, we are watching a thousand edits — and the ones that stand up go straight to a fast-tracked interview for a full-time role at House of EdTech / Be10x.

You submit one edit

6 hours 15 minutes, real client footage, one brief. What you upload is the only thing that counts — no résumé screen, no referral, no portfolio gatekeeping.

Three judges score it

Independently, against a rubric published before you start. Their scores and written feedback come to you with your scorecard when results go out — whether you place or not.

Top performers get interviewed

The three podium winners, plus any other submission the jury flags as exceptional, get a fast-tracked hiring interview — skipping the queue every cold application sits in.

Interview well, get the role

No trial project, no second round of hoops — the interview is the last step before a full-time editing role at House of EdTech / Be10x.

Didn't place? You still leave with something.

Strong submissions that don't reach the interview go onto our vetted freelance roster — the list we hire from all year. Every valid entry gets an individual scorecard and judge feedback, which is yours to use however you like.

About the hackathon

A competition built likeA Real Client Brief

Editors don't lack contests — they lack proof. This one gives you real footage, a real deadline, a rubric you can read before you start, and a jury that will actually watch your work.

Who can participate

Any editor in India, 18 or older — freelance, in-house, agency, or student. Individual entries only. You need your own machine, your own software licence, and a working internet connection.

Challenge format

One day, one brief. You download real client footage from your dashboard when the task is released, cut to the brief, and submit your unlisted YouTube link before the deadline. There are no extensions.

How it's judged

Three judges score every submission independently against a rubric published in advance. Your final score is the average of their overall marks, to two decimals.

Hiring opportunity

The top performers — the podium winners plus other exceptional submissions — go straight into the House of EdTech / Be10x hiring funnel: a fast-tracked interview directly for a full-time role. Every valid participant gets an individual scorecard and a place on our freelance roster shortlist.
